About 50 demonstrators blocked Tuesday, March 8, 2022 the Esso oil depot located on the avenue de Fondeyre in Toulouse, in order to protest in particular against the price of fuels.
Protesters blocked the depot from 8 a.m. and remained there until the intervention of law enforcement late morning. The latter evacuated the demonstrators and unblocked the depot calmly.
Anti-sanitary pass slogans
The demonstrators were mainly protesting against rising fuel prices but some also launched anti-sanitary pass slogans. A banner with the inscription ” freedom convoy, join the movement”, was added on the railings of the oil depot.
In France, the price of fuel is much higher than in other countries, it is not bearable for the population. The government cannot control the price of a barrel of oil, but it can play on taxes. We want to defend the people who are fed up with being oppressed.
