Prague – The holder of last year’s Anděl Award in Solo Artist singer 7 times3, real name Štěpán Hebík, is releasing a new single and is preparing a concert in Prague. The single, produced by Roman Holý, accompanies two differently conceived video clips by director Benjamin Buttler. AGAINST first Honza Cina took over the lead role, second The video offers a remix by Mr. Mustache, a Czech producer living in Los Angeles. 7 times3 to present a new song live on March 17 at a concert in Prague.
“I will perform at the Lucerna Music Bar. There will be a lot of interesting guests, such as rappers Paulie Garand and Maniak, former member of my band Igor Ochepovský and also the excellent saxophonist Jiři Halada, who recorded the song Headphones, so it will be a colorful evening,” he told ČTK 7 times3. “Of the new things, I will introduce Headphones. Anyone who likes to have an evening with one or more women at once, will like the song. We will play version number one, which was released in a black and white clip starring Jan Cina,” he added.
Last year, a native of České Budějovice became an unexpected winner of the Anděl Awards. In his category, he won the competition between Dan Bárta and Jaromír Nohavica with a recording called I, which features singers Jiří Korn and PSH. “If the world was going normally, the victory certainly meant more concerts, but because of the covid, it was dangerous, so it didn’t happen. The concerts have been moving for two years now, so it’s all overwhelmed. I hope the current war in Ukraine doesn’t affect any other cultural use, “He said.
7 times3 he has released only a few singles so far and attracted attention with a video for the song Promiň, in which he apologizes to the girl for premature ejaculation. The clip was initially controversially received, and was eventually nominated for the Angel Award in the Video Clip category and recorded 560,000 views. The singer has not released a classic album to date. “In today’s fast paced world, there is no need to have a record, each of my singles has a different sound, theme and mood. I would have to find a connecting element for the album. But when it comes at the right moment, I do not resist releasing the album,” he said.
7 times3, who previously worked under the nickname Jaquin Step, he acted as a vocalist and trombonist for the reggae group Pub Animals, he leaned towards modern African-American rhythm and blues. In the summer, he plans to present his work at several festivals. “Rock for People, Colors of Ostrava and other super festivals are planned. We are now also talking about an autumn club tour, where I would go with the band as 7 times3 & Live Band,” he said.
Musician, singer, producer and rapper 7 times3 was born on July 21, 1989 into a musically gifted family. His father, Jiří Hebík, is the frontman of the reggae and funky band HE Band.
