“Terka attacked from unexpected positions, I had to be alert and active in defense. I made points mainly from the back of the court, “said Serme after the fourth overall triumph at the domestic championships and the third in a row. Historically, the most, a total of nine, were won by Jana Šmeralová.
“I am glad that I caught up with Daniel Mekbib, who also has four titles. I would like to have five or six of them, but I do not have a specific goal. I focus mainly on the PSA world rankings, where I would like to be the best Czech in history, “smiled Serme, a native of Opava who lives and trains in France. At present, it holds the 38th place in the world rankings and four places are already missing at the Czech maximum.

Daniel Mekbib did not defend the Czech title in Prague. He was replaced on the throne by Jakub Solnický from SC Fajne in Ostrava, who defeated Martin Švec 3: 1 in sets in the final. His club colleague Viktor Byrtus won bronze when he defeated Marek Panáček in the match for 3rd place.
