After Bordeaux and Paris, Yego will bring its electric scooters to Toulousein May 2022. The company, which will be authorized for 300 machines in the Pink City, arrives at the foot of the Capitol with great ambitions.
Toulouse, a choice that makes sense
Yego’s tour of France continues. Bordeaux, Paris… and now Toulouse. Tim Ouegot, one of the three young entrepreneurs at the head of the start-up, explains that the choice of the Pink City quickly made sense.
“Benjamin Viguier, who is co-founder, but who is also our CEO, is from Toulouse. There are a personal nod and a return to basics. »
After launching our service in Bordeaux since 2018, the sizes of cities like Bordeaux, Toulouse and other medium-sized French cities, seem very interesting to us. They fit well with our vision of a service with moderately sized fleets.
“Toulouse was an objective city for us. For several years, we have been in contact with the town hall and with the Invest In Toulouse agency, concedes Tim Ouegot. We are particularly enthusiastic and proud. »
Zenith, Ernest-Wallon…
The call for expressions of interest, launched by the town hall, was therefore won by Yego and Félyx. Each will be able to reach 300 scooters in the City, “a number that has been defined by the town hall. We will soon meet her to fix the final details of the locations of these scooters”.
We made proposals for areas that really took into account the specificities of Toulouse: the Zénith, Ernest-Wallon, and taking into account the various parking relays which, as we know, are very important for the fluidity of traffic in the city. From toulouse. We also think of universities, the Aerospace cluster…
Unsurprisingly, the gaze of his friend was infinitely precious. “Benjamin has this knowledge of the territory and key points for a mobility service like ours. It helped us come up with what we think makes sense. »
Yego comes after Indigo Wheel
Tim Ouegot praises three aspects of Yego. “First, the vehicle is very different style, it has a real look and it’s fun to drive. Then, we developed our user application. She is very smooth and very easy to understand. »
Finally, the co-founder evokes “the great strength” of the startup: “our customer service. On one of the dedicated chat teams, which responds in less than 30 seconds to any user request. They are never left alone with the scooter or the app”.
It is therefore a new service of scooter rental who will arrive in Toulouse, after Indigo Wheel, remained for 2 years in the Pink City, and swept away by a fire, in December 2021, which prevented his departure.
The filing of the file predated this unfortunate fire. For us, it was an idea that we had had for a long time, because of Benjamin’s Toulouse origin. Two years ago, we pushed the town hall. She had told us that she was preparing the call for expressions of interest.
