Works . Dijon SNCF line
Renewing a switch, 420 meters of rails and 350 sleepers required time and, depending on the phase, train traffic stops. This is why the major track modernization works at Saint-Julien-du-Sault station, on the Dijon-Paris line, which begin on March 7 and will continue until April 8, will impact the circulation of TER trains in the following weeks.
If during the week the consequences will be limited for users, it will not be the same for the weekends of March 19-20 and 26-27. Indeed, a replacement service by coach (limited number of places) will be set up between Laroche-Migennes and Sens during certain phases of the works. The SNCF thus invites travelers to check train (and coach) timetables before their trip.
“This operation represents an investment of 2.3 million euros financed by SNCF Réseau with the aim of contributing to the performance of the network by guaranteeing optimal conditions for the regularity and safety of rail traffic”, explains SNCF in this press release.
