“We know we can win”
This Sunday, Olympique de Marseille welcomes AS Monaco as part of the 27th day of Ligue 1. Despite their defeat in the Coupe de France against Nantes, the Monegasques seem confident for this trip.
In its last matches, AS Monaco experienced difficult times. By drawing against Lorient (0-0) at home, chaining another draw against Bordeaux (1-1) and a defeat against Remns (1-2). In the Coupe de France, AS Monaco was also eliminated by FC Nantes (2-2, tab 4-2). Suffice to say that sportingly everything is not going well for mine at AS Monaco. Despite this, Monaco striker Myron Boadu believes his club can beat Olympique de Marseille on Sunday night.
“I don’t think Marseille is superior to us”
“We are disappointed not to have qualified for the Coupe de France final, but I don’t feel any negative pressure on the group. We are aware of our qualities and the coach gives us his confidence. We have a big meeting on Sunday in Marseille, but we know we can win. So we don’t feel any negative pressure, we just need to be focused on the next deadlines. We can compete with OM. When I look in the locker room at the players around me, I see a lot of quality. There are many internationals and players who can be, so I don’t think Marseille are superior to us. We just lacked a bit of luck in the last few games.”
Let’s just hope that OM are more conquering than against Troyes and we could see a great match between two teams in the race for the podium even if Monaco are already nine points behind OM in the standings.
