Live from the Lyon Motor Show: Moto Guzzi preparations
Moto Guzzi V9 preparation by Nomade 69
Let’s start with the red, which was black before going into paint. Few changes on this model, which explains the “only” €5,000 premium. The modifications are however quite deep from an aesthetic point of view, even if it retains its original line.
Thus we see the air filter protruding from the left side saddle casing, a specific handlebar, original handles and a counter surround. The other glaring element is of course the completely original saddle, stitched and with double curvature. We would almost forget the small plate support in the low side position, fixed to the shock absorber support.
Finally, the Avon MKII tires greatly contribute to the old school aspect of the bike, while a very free exhaust sheathed in thermal tape – a classic – completes the whole. Beautiful work.
Moto Guzzi V9 preparation by Motomax Metz
A preparation for more than 30,000 € motorcycle included, that’s what we offer MotoMax. And the least we can say is that the work done on this V9 Bobber is impressive. Saddle and exhaust line are the most discreet part, while one cannot miss the aluminum tank with its ultra-complex and evocative shape, while the front fairing is particularly inspired by the history of the brand. , as evidenced by the original model also found on the show.
Another piece of bravery: the upper triple clamp cut in the mass and enclosing the original fork. Only the controls, the instrumentation and the levers are those of the original model, without that shocking. After all, here is a modern motorcycle… which however we will not take on the road. A pure design object for either the track or the living room. A work offered at €28,500 during the Lyon show. A bargain, right? Whatever happens, a fine demonstration of know-how.
