Orelsan son double Zenith in Toulouse
Its Zénith Toulouse of March 31 being complete, Orelsan adds another on November 20
Initially scheduled for January 27 and then postponed to March 31, Orelsan’s concert at the Zénith de Toulouse quickly sold out, as in most other cities in France. The singer, whose 4th album, “Civilization”, continues to sell like hot cakes in the 13th week, an additional bonus provided by the Victoires de la Musique. Orelsan has indeed won three awards: Male artist of the year, song of the year with “The smell of gasoline” and audiovisual creation for “Show never that to anyone”, filmed, in the long run, by Clément Cotentin, the artist’s little brother, then made with the help of experimentation Christophe Offenstein.
Image is one of the essential elements of Orelsan’s success. The clip for “The Quest”, a new extract from the album, is once again proof of this. The singer whose blond lock (and very ugly) we see full frame most often gives way to animated characters made from modeling clay (like “Wallace and Gromit”). In the tone of an intimate chronicle (it looks like Bénabar), Orelsan recounts his youth as a serious boy who became a cancer in order to integrate, announcing – we’ve all experienced it – “fuck up the mess in progress to make friends”. He says he wants to grow very quickly when “today (he) would like time to stop”. Because, after years of skateboarding, beer and firecrackers, Orelsan has become a star. Who panics the counters on the Internet (The video, very successful, of “The quest” has already been seen more than 800,000 times a day after it was put online) and fills the Zenith as if on parade.
