Kladno and Sparta want to help Ukraine, their match is moving to Prague
The hockey players of Kladno agreed with the Prague Sparta on an exceptional postponement of the match. Tuesday’s match of the 60th round of the Tipsport extra league will not take place in the Rocknet Arena in Chomutov, but in the O2 arena in Prague. Both teams want to help Ukraine.
For this reason, the match will take place at the stadium with the largest spectator capacity in the Czech Republic. Proceeds from the tickets will then go to help people who are fleeing the war from Ukraine to the Czech Republic.
“I am glad that we have agreed that the match will take place in the O2 arena. It is a modern arena where a really large number of spectators can come. When we decided on this event, we wanted it to be in an arena with a large capacity, so that the help would be as extensive as possible,“explained the reason for this special transfer of the owner of the Knights of Kladno, Jaromír Jágr.
The match of the 60th round of the Tipsport extra league was originally supposed to take place in the Rocknet Arena in Chomutov, where Kladno is hosting its home matches in the asylum. Now the match will take place in the O2 arena, where up to 18,000 spectators will go. “The rivalry will go away in this match. bring as many fans as they want to help in the home arena, just like us,“ says Sparta general manager Barbora Snopková Haberová.
