The State has undertaken to pay 40% of the total bill of 14 billion euros. For its part, the European Union will contribute 20%. The remaining 40%, or 5.6 billion euros, is the responsibility of the communities. ” These ordinances will allow the 24 communities of Occitanie and New-Aquitaine providing 40% of the financing of the GPSO to organize to collectively carry their share of the financing which is equal to that of the State”, specifies the prefect of the region Étienne Guyot.
