Unfortunately, the long-term restriction of traffic on the D1 motorway near Prague due to construction work is not a thing of the past. It seems that after ten months of restrictions near Mirošovice. The administrator of the motorways informs on Twitter about the selection of a contractor for repairs to the section of the motorway between the 16th and 21st kilometers – ie roughly between the levels of Strančice and Mirošovice in Prague-East.
although politicians last year announced the end of long-term modernization of the motorway during operation (with an excuse for the still current need to reconstruct the aged Šmejkalka bridge), which lasted for 2013-2021 and but even an increased accident rate, this era is not over. In the mentioned five-kilometer section, construction activity is expected – in the long run.

A total of seven tenderers who submitted their bids were interested in becoming a contractor. Map on the ŘSD website it follows that extensive repairs are planned for two construction seasons: from June this year to August next year.
