Construction of another section on the D6 motorway begins. The new part at Krupá will follow at Krušovice
The D6 Prague – Karlovy Vary motorway, which is used by drivers from the Podbořany and Žatec regions to travel to the Czech capital, is being extended.

A 6.5-kilometer-long section of the D6 motorway began to be built near Krupá.

On Monday, February 28, the Directorate of Roads and Motorways (ŘSD) handed over the construction site a six-and-a-half-kilometer section near Krupá, which will connect to the motorway now ending near Krušovice.
Drivers will take the new route in 2024.
This year, ŘSD also wants to start building the adjoining Hořesedel and Hořoviček bypasses in the Rakovnicko region, and tenders for contractors are running. In 2025, the D6 will be extended by another 15 kilometers to the Jesenice junction.

Next year, ŘSD wants to start building a connecting twelve-kilometer section to Lubenec in the Podbořansko region, and this spring it wants to apply for a building permit. After its commissioning, the assumption is in 2026, a comprehensive section of the motorway will be created between Prague and the border of the Karlovy Vary region. It is to arrive on its territory in the direction of Karlovy Vary in the years 2027 to 2028.
