Plans: accident reporting is coming to France and Belgium 🆕
Accident reporting is available in Maps in France after other European countries and long after China and the United States which supported it with iOS 14.5.
It is possible that this function has been there for some time but, as usual, Apple rarely announces its local improvements in Maps. This addition was reported to us by our readers and we do not remember having seen it previously. Following the publication of the article, users in Belgium noticed the same thing at home. Advantage for Belgium, the reporting of speed control points is possible there, as in the United States. This is not supported with us.
Reporting can be done with Siri and types of sentences such as “Report an accident” or “There is an object in the road”. In manual mode, just touch the chevron in the bottom tab of the screen when you have launched a route to report an accident or another form of danger (or touch the exclamation mark icon with CarPlay).
These options can also be used when no route is launched, by going to the bottom of the Maps tab and touching “Report a problem”. In the following screen, you will see the number of reports made by you.
