Accidents – Hanover – hair gets caught in the escalator: woman insults rescuers – panorama
Hanover (dpa / lni) – A woman caught her hair in an escalator at the main train station in Hanover and, according to the police, insulted the rescue workers called. The 24-year-old fell out when she was supposed to be taken to the hospital after the accident, it said.
The woman climbed a descending escalator on Saturday morning for initially unknown reasons, as a spokesman for the federal police said on Sunday. In doing so, she fell. Her hair got caught in the running stairs.
Passers-by stopped the escalator and alerted the rescuers. When a patrol arrived, the woman is said to have been lying motionless on the ground and not responsive. The officials had provided first aid and cut off the woman’s trapped hair, it said. When paramedics wanted to take the woman to the hospital, she woke up and reacted aggressively. She refused further help, lashed out, insulted the officials and repeatedly gave the middle finger.
According to the spokesman, they left the station and did not go to the hospital. It was not immediately known whether and how badly the woman was injured. The 24-year-old faces a criminal complaint for insult.
