The first groups with Bulgarians from Ukraine leave for Bulgaria today
A group of about 30 Bulgarians from Odessa, Kharkiv and Kropyvnytskyi will leave Izmail for Bulgaria this afternoon. This announcement is especially for BTA Maria Petrova, editor-in-chief of the newspaper of the Association of Bulgarians in Ukraine “Review Plus”.
From the Izmail region on the border of our compatriots will cross the Danube by ferry Orlovka (Ukraine) – Isaccea (Romania). Then they will leave with Bulgarian buses to Sofia and Varna.
“After yesterday’s address by the Bulgarian President Rumen Radev, a headquarters was set up here, which deals with the formation of groups of Bulgarian citizens and ethnic, wants to be a Bulgarian for Bulgaria. They include the main young people, there are also adults, but they are significant. The General Consultation of Bulgaria in Odessa is also forming its own groups and today at 2 pm another bus with 35 people leaves the consulate. Let’s hope that those who want to go to Bulgaria will arrive in peace and everything will be fine “, commented Maria Petrova.
“Ethnic Bulgarians with Ukrainian citizenship, who are male and between the ages of 18 and 60, cannot leave the country. They are subject to mobilization,” said Svetlana Dragneva, deputy chairwoman of the Association of Bulgarians in Ukraine.
