Gian Primo Giardi and Stefano Valentino Piva for the presidency
The last session of the Olympic mandate of CONS Executive Committeewith the opening of the envelopes, by the Board of Statutory Auditors of the CONS, containing the candidacy for the elections of the Executive that will be in office in the three-year period 2022-2024. The resulting names were proposed by 28 sports federations. For the presidency of the CONS, the names of Gian Primo Giardioutgoing president, and of Stefano Valentino Pivacurrent guide of the San Marino Table Tennis Federation.
For the vice presidency instead, the current vice president are candidates Cristiano Forcellini (president of the Tennis Federation), in addition to the federal presidents Marco Tura (Football), Luca Liberti (Basketball) e Stefano Valentino Piva (Table tennis).
Sixteen are the Presidents of the Federation in the running for the three places available in the Executive compatible with federal office: Valter Baldisserra (Cycling), Fabrizio Castiglioni (Gymnastics), Christian Forcellini (Tennis), Gian Luca Gatti (Winter Sports), Davide Giardi (Rugby), Gian Luigi Lazzarini (Volleyball), Luca Liberti (Basketball) , Maurizio Mazza (Martial Arts), Sergio Michelotti (Horse Racing), Stefano Valentino Piva (Table Tennis), Giuseppe Ragini (Judo-Wrestling), Marco Giancarlo Rossini (Swimming), Marco Tura (Football), Paolo Valli (Automotive), Emanuele Vannucci (Golf) and Luciano Zanotti (Archery).
Nine are the candidates running for the two places of non-compatible Executive Committee member with federal offices or affiliated associations: Mahena Abbati, Franch Casadei, Maurizia Menghi, Elisa Parenti, Maria Teresa Righi, Giacomo Santi, Luciano Scarponi, Giuliano Tomassini and Angelo Vicini.
Finally, there are only two candidates for the general secretary: Eros Bologna, who currently holds the position, e Mahena Abbati.
The National Council, called to elect the president and the other seven members of the Executive, will meet Wednesday 9 March.
