Security guards damage a scooter in a district of Toulouse
The case should have been tried on February 16, but the defendants were obtained from the magistrates within a deadline in order to prepare their defense. The facts date back to August 28, 2021 in the Bonnefoy district of Toulouse. That evening, the situation was somewhat tense between the GITeS staff and some young people from the neighborhood. The two agents are outright in pursuit with a teenager on a scooter. The latter ends up abandoning his two-wheeler. According to the youngster, the two security guards would have broken the direction of the machine before abandoning it. The lower-ranking of the two agents would have for his part put pressure on his colleagues present this evening so that the events are not reported to his management.
The agent accused of witness tampering faces three years in prison and a fine of 45,000 euros. His accomplice, who denies the facts, is also in a complicated situation vis-à-vis justice, as reported The Midi Dispatch. He was given a three-month suspended prison sentence on January 19 for molesting a young man during a patrol at the Mirail. The trial is scheduled for March 16.
