Experts believe that Belarus can become a “crypto-Switzerland”.

The National Agency for Investment and Privatization and the business association EurAsiaGulf held a webinar on the topic “Cryptocurrencies and control: doing business in Belarus and the UAE”. More than 45 experts from the United Arab Emirates, Belarus, China, Russia, Great Britain, Nigeria became participants.
As follows from the NAIP press release, the topics of the webinar are regulation in the field of cryptocurrencies in Belarus, the benefits of working with Belarusian IT companies in the field of security, the requirements of the UAE in the territorial sphere, the possibility of cooperation with the territories of the UAE on project restrictions.
So, director of communications at Whitebird.io, chairman of the Distributed Registry Technology Association Vasily Kuleshbelieves that “Belarus can become crypto-Switzerland if the country is used correctly“. This, according to him, is “clear regulation, a favorable tariff for electricity, a legal framework that allows you to work legally and make a profit, the presence of excess energy after the Belarusian nuclear power plant is launched at full capacity.”
Fintech, digital and fisheries expert Andreas Tsindos during the webinar drew attention to the significant development of Belarus in the international industry.
“Indeed, Belarus is a very innovative country and is included in the list of indexes on the Human Development Index. The IT sector accounts for about 7% of GDP. And today we are going to find out its business opportunities and identify promising areas of cooperation with the UAE”, said Andreas Tsindos.
First Deputy Director of NAIP Dmitry Berezovsky during the webinar, it was explained why the agency pays special attention to projects in the field of cryptocurrency. “In my opinion, Belarus has great potential in this area.“, he noted.
During the event, the features of regulation of the sphere of digital money in Belarus were discussed. For example, that transactional companies use only those sites that are registered as a cryptoplatform operator and ICO organizers in a high-tech park. The HTP already has 13 cryptocurrency companies (3 crypto exchanges, 1 cryptocurrency exchange operator, 1 ICO organizer and 8 mining companies).
CEO of digital currency platform Garantex Muhammad Khalifa during the webinar, he said that in the UAE there is a huge role in the digitalization of public services, the transition to “paperless” office work.
“Now you can even find police fines electronically on your mobile phone, tracking the development of the feeling. Today, we have more than 7 million people with a medical certificate based on detection technology. What’s more, the export technology will be exported all over the world.Mohamed Khalifa said.
He suggested that he got the virtual world and even the metaverse with his decisions, sales and purchases.
