Salzburg clearly won 5-2 in Vienna, Graz celebrated a resounding victory at home against the foxes from South Tyrol and KAC were beaten by Znojmo 1-0 on penalties in Klagenfurt Znojmo.

HK SZ Olimpija moved back up to sixth place in the table with a 4-2 win over the Dornbirn Bulldogs. A shorthander by Jaka Sodja gave the Slovenians the lead in the Ländle, with three more goals up to the 30th minute of the game, the “dragons” ensured clear conditions early on.

Braeden Shaw and Anze Kuralt each gave the table runners-up, who only had three lines, a 4-0 lead with a brace until the 25th minute. Innsbruck’s top scorer Mike Huntebrinker, who scored for the 15th time in a row, and Tim McGauley scored for the guests.

Behind Ljubljana lurks HC TESLA Orli Znojmo, who kept a clean sheet for the second time in a row. In a hard-fought encounter at EC-KAC, the Czechs prevailed 1-0 in the shootout. Only for the twelfth time since the league was founded did a game remain goalless for more than 65 minutes. For the Carinthians it was the fifth defeat in a row.

EC GRAND Immo VSV defended second place behind Salzburg, it recorded a rollercoaster victory at HC Pustertal Wölfe with 6:4 – and thus inflicted the ICE newcomer’s first defeat after the last seven wins in a row. Travis Oleksuk impressed with the “Adler” with four points (2G|2A). Anton Karlsson posted an assist on his comeback, while Tomi Karhunen recorded 29 saves on his debut.
