A year after the death of Luca Attanasio, a minute of silence in the Italian representation in Vienna
VIENNA, 22 FEBRUARY – One year after the tragic death of Luca Attanasio, Ambassador of Italy to the Democratic Republic of Congokilled in an ambush near the city of Goma together with the carabiniere Vittorio Iacovacci and the driver del Mustapha Milambo World Food Program, there are many manifestations of closeness and condolence.
In Vienna the ambassador Alessandro Cortese – permanent representative of Italy to international organizations – and the ambassador Stefano Baldi – permanent representative of Italy at theOSCE – they passed Attanasio with a minute of silence. In a tweet, the UN representation in Vienna wrote that “the colleagues of the @ItalyUN_Vienna remember Luca Attanasio on the anniversary of his barbaric killing.
