A footbridge for animals will be created across K Barrandova in Prague Street
In Prague’s Barrandov, a so-called ecoduct will be created across the busy K Barrandova Street, ie a footbridge that will be used for the migration of wild animals. There will also be a footbridge for pedestrians and cyclists. The city will start project preparation this year and it should be completed in 2030. The costs are estimated at 37.8 million crowns. This follows from a document approved by the Prague councilor. The crossing for animals and people is also in Prague, for example, through the Vysočanská radial.
The ecoduct will be created at the intersection with Wasserman Street in the direction from the center. Across the busy four-lane K Barrandova Street, you will connect two protected localities, namely Prokopské and Dalejské údolí and Chuchelský háj, and it will connect to the intended green belt around the metropolis. It will be built as a double bridge, one part will be a crossing for animals and the other will be for pedestrians and cyclists. The first part will be built for people.
The estimated total cost of the event is 37.8 million crowns. The start of project preparation for the construction is planned for this year and the end in 2030. This year, the city budget will receive 500,000 crowns, which the city will take from the planned construction of technical equipment in Zličín, whose construction is postponed compared to the original date.
