“One of the priorities assumed by the liberal government program is spa tourism. We have started an analysis on investments and programs for this field, an area that is growing internationally, but which has faced some challenges in our country. At the Government level, there is a de minimis aid scheme managed by the Ministry of Development, Public Works and Administration, but which has been blocked by the courts for two years. We have great potential and I thank all those who came to the meeting in Slănic Moldova, for a timely discussion about the necessary solutions we can initiate for spas and spas in Romania “, said Constantin-Daniel Cadariu, Minister of Entrepreneurship . and tourism.
During the meeting were discussed possibilities to change the legal framework in order to increase the share of the budget allocated to local authorities from the County Council budget and identify the new financial source to ensure the necessary funds for the development of spas or spas. At the same time, the need to resume to the National Institute of Recovery, Physical Medicine and Balneoclimatology the activity at the optimal level of research of the natural therapeutic resources, essential for the diversification of the services for the care of the Romanian resorts can be offered.
The meeting was attended by Gheorghe Baciu, President of the Association of Romanian Spa Resorts and Mayor Slănic Moldova, MPs Mircea Fechet, Elena Hărătău and Cătălina Ciufu, together with the mayors of local resorts in Bacău, Neamț, Suceava, Dâmbovița, Mureș, Harghita, Sibiu counties. and representatives of the business environment from Valea Trotușului.
