The works of Unibz design students exhibited in the MuseumsQuartier in Vienna
The works of twenty-three students of the Free University of Bozen-Bolzano will be exhibited in the MuseumsQuartier of Vienna, from 9 to 27 March, in Vienna. This is the great result obtained by the students of Studio Image, one of the four studies of the degree course in Design and Art that Unibz makes available. It is a space for work and discussion, dedicated above all to expressive possibilities through photography and video. Each semester new topics are proposed, concerning social, cultural and communication issues, on which students have the opportunity to reflect and work; the result of this process consists in the multimedia material accessible to anyone, through the portal that the university dedicates to Wallet of individual students, in common between the Art curriculum and the Design curriculum.
The exhibition is part of the “Foto Wien” Festival. “An exhibition in such an impressive setting is a great challenge and a unique learning experience; it offers a spatial environment in which it is possible to negotiate one’s work and address important curatorial issues. Since the students are also called to supervise the exhibition, we trust in a direct exchange with the visitors “, underlines the director of Studio Image, Professor Eva Leitolf,
Specifically, the show exhibit the work of six semesters in 400 square meters of exhibition space; the best works will then be collected in a 240-page catalog, entitled “SHOOT & THINK. Negotiating images ”.
