Interrupted TER circulation, few TGVs on the rails, maritime traffic at a standstill… we take stock of the consequences of the Eunice storm this Friday in the Nord and Pas-de-Calais.
The Nord and Pas-de-Calais are placed on orange alert to strong winds. Storm Eunice will sweep the two departments today with gusts announced at 120 km / h inland this Friday afternoon. The Hauts-de-France prefecture recommends limiting travel and avoiding wooded areas. The parks are closed in Lille, Douai, Arras, Béthune, Bruay-la-Buissière and Bénifontaine.
A peak at 107 km / ha has already been named in Lille in the morning. Firefighters in the North have planned reinforcements in 18 call centers. Maritime traffic is interrupted between Calais and Dover. The UK is on high weather alert. Since 12 p.m. this Friday, no more TER runs and this will be the case in the Nord and Pas-de-Calais until Saturday. Many TGVs do not run, only TGV Lille – Paris and Lille-Calais, in both directions, run. At present, there is no red alert, whereas there is on the other side of the Channel.
