After two years of the pandemic and months of working from home, Eurowings expects demand on business routes to increase. This means that the frequencies between Zurich and Hamburg, Düsseldorf and Cologne/Bonn will also be increased.
The Düsseldorf-Zurich connection was offered six times a week in January. Frequencies are being increased against the background of increasing demand and booking growth. Eurowings currently has twelve flights per week in its program and will increase this to up to sixteen flights per week from the end of February.
In January, flights between Cologne/Bonn and Zurich were offered six times a week. From the end of February, the number of connections per week will be increased to eleven. Eurowings had six flights a week to Hamburg. In the meantime, the frequencies have been increased to eleven flights per week.
“After two years of the pandemic, millions of people finally want to catch up on their holidays or meet important business contacts in person again. Our increase in bookings is currently following the ‘ketchup bottle principle’: first nothing comes for a long time, then everything at once,” says Jens Bischof, CEO of Eurowings, summarizing the expansion of the routes.
The airline has also expanded its offering in the leisure sector and is now flying to more than 140 destinations for the first time. In the future, this will also include the connection right into the Kruger National Park. (TI)
