Amazon reinforces AWS cloud infrastructure in Portugal – Negócios
Amazon Web Services announced the launch of a new AWS Local Zone infrastructure in Lisbon, which will complement an existing one in Portugal, AWS Edge Location. The goal is to place AWS computing and cloud services for large populations, industry and IT, so that their customers can access their applications with minimal latency.
The company explains that AWS Local Zone allows its customers to use key services locally, while connecting to the rest of their workloads running in AWS regions “with the same elasticity, pay-as-you-go model, Programming programming (APIs and toolsets), is referred to in the release.
AWS Local Zone is closer to local users or data centers to achieve maximum performance for your applications.
