Grenoble easy, Rouen beaten
While Grenoble passed ten goals to Briançon, his runner-up Rouen fell on the ice of Amiens. Gap conceded a second loss in a row in Mulhouse when Nice needed extra time to win in Chamonix.
The shock of the extremes was also at the level of the score. Leader of Ligue Magnus, Grenoble had a very bad evening in Briançon, the red lantern of the championship. The Burners of Wolves have, in fact, scored ten goals for the Red Devils. In 19 seconds, Adel Koudri and Nicolas Deschamps set the tone in the 9th minute before Rudolf Huna gave Briançon hope by signing a double. However, Joël Champagne, Kyle Shearer Hardy and Markus Poukkula during the second period then Damien Fleury at the start of the last added to the bill. Kristaps Bazevics’ goal remains only an incident because Aurélien Dair, Jere Rouhiainen, Julien Munoz and Julien Baylacq closed the Grenoble attacking festival (3-10). A victory that allows the Burners of Wolves to widen the gap on Rouen. Indeed, the Dragons saw their series of eight straight victories come to an end on the ice of Amiens. Elgin Pearce launched the Gothics well in the first period but a double from Kelsey Tessier in the second, interspersed with an Amiens achievement signed Stanislau Lapachuk, allowed the two teams to approach the last 20 minutes with an equal score. Elgin Pearce and Florian Sabatier in the first six minutes of third time sealed the fate of the match, Joris Bedin’s goal only allowing the Dragons to reduce the gap (4-3).
Gap beaten again, Nice tears away from Chamonix
The Gothics take the opportunity to widen the gap on Gap. Indeed, the Raptors conceded a second loss in a row on the ice of Mulhouse. A meeting that started strong with four goals in the first period, signed Phil Pietroniro twice and Olivier Labelle for the Scorpions while Sébastien Rohat had equalized at first for the Gapençais. Thanks to Julien Correia and Paul Joubert at the half-hour mark, the Raptors were able to come back to the top but, in the process, Phil Pietroniro and Ivan Esipov restored the advantage to the Alsatians, reinforced by Teemu Loizeau. While Benjamin Lagarde reduced the gap for Hap, Milan Jurik sealed the fate of the match for a victory for Mulhouse (7-4), which came down to one point behind Chamonix. The Pioneers fell in extension at home against Nice. Rémi Thomas and Loïc Chabert put the Eagles in orbit but Emil Bejmo closed the gap early in the second period. However, after the break did not Julius Valtonen, Samuel Salonen and Phil Marinaccio put the two teams level in less than three minutes. In extension, Emil Bagin gave victory to Nice after just over four minutes (3-4 ap). With this success, Nice overtakes Bordeaux for 7th place.
