AS Monaco loses two points against Lorient (0-0)
The Monegasques failed to dominate Lorient (0-0), this Sunday at Louis-II (24th day of Ligue 1).
After a rather decent first half, marked by wide domination and a few chances, ASM failed to accelerate in the second half.
The copy rendered after the rest was sluggish and boring. The princely club seemed to run out of gas to make the decision, five days after winning their Coupe de France quarter-final against Amiens (L2, 2-0).
There were few shots on target and accuracy in crosses and the last pass was lacking.
Vanderson and Jean Lucas were realized in the first act, thanks to their projections, but the two Brazilians weighed less after the break.
The podium and Nice remain at five points
Henrique thought he was offering an assist, but Ben Yedder saw his header pushed back by Dreyer on his line (82′).
At home, Monaco had not completed a league match with a goalless draw since March 14, 2021 against Lille (0-0).
With this result, the Monegasques move up to 6th but remain five lengths from the podium and 3rd, Nice. Wissam Ben Yedder’s partners missed a great opportunity to recall in the race for the Champions League, when the Gym lost to Lyon (2-0) on Friday evening.
