Czech Airlines (ČSA) will not interrupt the operation of its airline from Prague to Kiev yet. The carrier wants to further monitor the security situation in Ukraine and the case of its deterioration will respond, said airline spokeswoman Vladimira Dufkova. The operation is not interrupted by three other Ukrainian airlines, which regularly fly from Prague to Ukraine. Flights from European cities to Ukraine have been canceled in recent days due to fears of a Russian invasion as a associated risk for some foreign carriers.
Resumption of flights due to great interest
“Czech Airlines operating to Ukraine does not interrupt, flights to Kiev will continue to operate according to the valid flight schedule. We are monitoring the situation, and in the event of a deteriorating security situation, we are ready to respond adequately. ” she stated Dufková.
According to Prague Airport, the Czech carrier originally canceled flights scheduled for February 18, 21 and 23. However, it stated on Monday morning that the airlines had again requested their renewal in the flight schedule. According to spokeswoman Klára Divíšková, their original abolition was not related to the current security situation in Ukraine. Dufková subsequently confirmed the renewal of the years due to great interest. According to her, the reasons for canceling the flights were business. CSA is thus planning daily operations from Prague to Kiev this week, and is also offering tickets at the end of February.
In the years from the Czech capital to Ukraine, other carriers have continued without changes, said Prague Airport. In addition to CSA, Ukrainian airlines SkyUp Airlines and Ukraine International Airlines have regular flights to Kiev. Another Ukrainian carrier, Bees Airline, regularly flies to Odessa and Lviv. According to the flight schedule, they plan more than two dozen arrivals and departures this week.
