Praguers want better living conditions in the capital. They are most bothered by traffic jams, few parking spaces and inaccessibility housing
With the arrival of 2021, the people of Prague have three big wishes: they want to improve transport as soon as possible and drive from one end of Prague to the other without any problems. In addition, they require new parking spaces, not only in the city center but also on their outskirts, and in particular they need to make housing. Other priorities for Prague residents also include safety on the streets, a better environment and the completion of the D metro. m of Prague.
The survey was able to select three problems from the fifteen offered, which they considered the most problematic in the capital, and more than 45% of them mentioned car traffic. The inhabitants of Prague 7 (71.4%) and Prague 1 (66.7%) are most troubled by daily columns and closures. In other parts of the capital, a similar population (40% – 47%) called for accelerated transport improvements.
Praguers are also concerned about the growing shortage of parking spaces (42.6%) and the unavailability housing and housing construction (39%). A large part of the population of Prague also does not feel completely safe and cited problems with drug addicts and the homeless as the biggest problem (36.8%). On the other hand, Praguers have the least problems with the slow development of the “smart city” (1.8%), the availability of cultural and sports activities (3%) or visual smog (6.2%).
“We also asked Praguers what topics our regional chamber should focus on and contribute to their improvement as soon as possible. One of the main priorities is clearly to complete the circuit as a solution to its traffic problems. led housing and security on the city streets. We therefore want to discuss all issues at the professional level with representatives of municipalities and their respective departments. We also have the views and attitudes of private sector experts such as transport engineers and developers. The survey also shows that for more than 52% of Praguers, life in the capital has rather not improved in the last three years. Positive living conditions in the last three years for better residents have only 5.7%.

We want to be a helping hand in creating better living conditions for all the inhabitants of Prague and politicians.
