Hudba Praha Band invites you to a rock ride on the Teplice Star
Which of the songs of the album “Colorful Dreams” has the greatest potential? I quite enjoy the introductory “Fall over the ceilings of the past”, where “Bezděz is collapsing” and the slogan “Cats with statues of the innocent” sounds.
Bohumil Zatloukal: I don’t dare guess which song will catch on the audience more. Whenever I guessed something, I was wrong.
Zdeněk Hnyk: If you think of hit potential, it could be, for example, the song “Lítám”, written by Jamaica, or Bohouš’s old song “Miláček”. Or perhaps “Redhead (and yet she spins”), which could attract all beer lovers. Otherwise, as far as the “Crumbling Walls of Bezděz” and the “felling of innocent statues” are concerned, it is more of a metaphor and allusion to the currently growing efforts to revise historical facts worldwide.
The sculptor and painter Pavel Karták died. The Teplice art scene is mourning
If I don’t count the classic Jasný Paky from the album “Stop it, stop it,” which song is the oldest on your album?
Bohumil Zatloukal: The song “Darling”. If I remember correctly, she played in Jasná Páka so three times. We just couldn’t play well then.
Have you ever played in Teplice at Hvjezd, for example as Jasná Páka, or will it be your overall premiere there?
If I’m not mistaken, we’ve played Hvjězda about four times in the last few years. This time, however, it will be mainly the premiere of songs from the new album Colorful Dreams.
But the Zatloukalová brothers certainly already have experiences from Teplice’s rock Mecca, from “Knak”,…
Bohouš Zatloukal: Yes, in the 90’s we played in Knak often and successfully. It was always very stormy, just bigbeat as it should be!
What does the reconstruction of a legendary band, which has hundreds of concerts in another line-up, but “starts again” in a new line-up, looks like?
Zdeněk Hnyk: No, how to take it – it starts again. The band is mostly the original Music of Prague with a characteristic sound, which was determined for years mainly by the guitars of Bohouš and Vlada Zatloukalové. And we started in the new line-up in 2016, we will play dozens of concerts, definitely over a hundred.

Do you have a gentleman’s agreement with your “colleagues” by Michal Ambrož that you will not stand in the way of each other, or is it – and especially in the time of covido and postcovid – a small Czech sand?
Bohumil Zatloukal: At our age, we really don’t want to argue or do anything on purpose. It’s long gone.
What did the covid and many past quarantines take what they gave you? For example, did they drive any of you into production or into healthcare?
Bohumil Zatloukal: No, it’s been two years in the ass. But we have a new record and that’s great !! So Hrrr to them !!!
Zdeněk Hnyk: Covid and quarantine took away our opportunity to perform. We had to cancel a lot of the concert and we lost a lot of money. And money, as we know, only in the first place 🙂 But fortunately it did not drive any of us to the “factory” in the true sense of the word.
The album cover was made by Karel Haloun. There is a certain continuity in that as well, old loves do not rust? By the way, Karel also wrote you the song “Autumn”…
Bohumil Zatloukal: Karel Haloun is simply unique, even with that text. We have known each other for over forty years, we have lived a lot together. Those experiences are for the whole book. But someone more professional will have to write this – for example, Karel Haloun.
“Autumn” has a romantic touch, similar to some of Luboš Pospíšil’s songs. Is it just a coincidence?
Bohumil Zatloukal: So “romantic” – well, I don’t know. I feel a lot of exaggeration and irony there. It’s sung deadly seriously, that’s what I think the joke is.
The final piece of Colorful Dreams is also nice. I like it when Hudba Praha takes full advantage of girls’ vocals and a typical blow job. Will these tools and procedures be added to the new original pieces?
Bohouš Zatloukal: That’s such a nice cheerleader at the end of the concert. I love her, I have fun with her!
The calendar with actress Mottlová will help Bohoušek to the wheelchair. He also looks at the sea
Are you planning an interesting collaboration and special guests for the next album?
Bohouš Zatloukal: Another album !? We haven’t even played the new one yet – we’ll see where everything moves. Personally, I don’t really need guests on boards, they are such weird crutches, completely unnecessary for me.
Did Pavla Jonsson from the women’s rock party Zuby Nehty write the song “Lady Nana” to order? Who is it about?
Zdeněk Hnyk: Vláďa Zatloukal wrote the music, Pavla wrote the lyrics on it. As far as I know, this is a general muse named Nana 🙂
What else to add?
Zdeněk Hnyk: Come and see our concert on Saturday, February 12 in Teplice at the restaurant on Hvjezd. We start at 21:00.
