Covid, No vax protests in Canada: truck drivers block another crossing with the US
New No vax block in Canada. Truckers opposed to anti-Covid restrictions and mandatory vaccination have occupied another important crossing with the United States, that of Emerson, as reported by the Manitoba police to the point of “blocking traffic from north to south and vice versa”. The Emerson Pass it’s because it connects Manitoba with North Dakota. For two weeks, demonstrators have paralyzed the Canadian capital Ottawa by blocking the streets in the center. Strategic points such as the Ambassador Bridge connecting the city of Windsor in Canada to Detroit in the United States were targeted. Bridge to cross over 40 thousand people everyday. Meanwhile, the factories of Toyota and Ford were forced to close, albeit temporarily, in Ontario while Stellantis, which controls Fiat Chrysler, spoke of serious delays in its plants. Due to the ongoing protests, the arrival of useful components to move forward with industrial activities is prevented. Meanwhile, other No Vax truck drivers in the States are organizing a protest: the 4th March a convoy of heavy vehicles will gather in California to then head to the American capital. The demonstration is supported by influencer far-right and conservative politicians, including former US president Donald Trump. In Europe, following the departure of the first convoys from the south of France, Paris, Brussels and Vienna have decreed the blocking of access to all vehicles joining the protest.
