the shuttle ran for a few hours, hundreds of thousands of euros wasted for nothing
Do you remember Navly, the shuttle that wanted to be revolutionary and that made tireless round trips empty in the Confluence district?
the health crisis, no one talks about the contract between Gérard Collomb’s Métropole de Lyon and the Villeurbannaise company Navya created by the duo Bruno Bonnell-Christophe Sapet, the same behind Infogrames. Nor the crazy dream of leaving it circular on the open road at Décines-Charpieu to serve the Groupama Stadium.
LyonMag had already attributed an article to the additional bonuses added to the leaders of Navya.
It’s not just in Lyon that Navya leaves a solid slate behind. Several local media like Alps 1 used that the company has just planted the Community of Agglomeration Gap-Tallard-Durance, withdrawing without giving reasons.
An electric and autonomous shuttle called Néa had however been delivered on September 20. But after a few hours, the machine had broken down and since then it has not driven in the streets of Gap…
“We are currently awaiting the manufacturer’s explanations to make the decisions we have to make, whether friendly or legal”, warned Christian Hubaud, vice-president of the Agglomeration in charge of Transport. The opposition for its part regretted “a terrible waste of public money”.
Because a lot of money has actually been spent on this case. More than 327,000 euros were needed to buy the shuttle, with a contribution from the European Union. It was also necessary to carry out work to adapt the signaling of the course: 80,000 euros. And the Agglomeration paid 48,000 euros annually for operating costs.
