Soyaux is reassured in Dijon, goal festivals in Reims and Guingamp
Continuation of 14and championship day this Saturday in D1, with four matches on the program. The success was there for the two Parisian clubs, with in particular 8 goals scored during the victory of PSG at Guingamp. Soyaux takes precious points in the race to maintain, while the red lantern, Issy, gave in at the very end of the match against Reims…
=> [D1, 14e journée] Fleury – CSMH (1–0): Europe moves away for Montpellier, Fleury remains well placed
The scenario is cruel for the players of GPSO 92 Issy, beaten (4-3) in Champagne, after having erased a delay of two goals in the second half. The Stade de Reims can breathe because Amandine Miquel’s players have had the opportunity on several occasions to put their opponents at a distance, and avoid such an undecided scenario.
Reims got scared
For the Ile-de-France players, this defeat in Reims is also equivalent to a missed opportunity to take points, while Issy occupies the twelfth and last provisional place in the standings. The meeting had started under other auspices for the GPSO 92, with Allie Thornton opening the scoring in the fifth minute, on a handover from her Haitian teammate Batcheba Louis (5and).
Short-lived breakaway for the Isséennes, with the Reims equalizer, the work of another Haitian international, Melchie Dumornay, at the conclusion on a ball from Naomie Feller (8and). The game then remains lively, with both teams able to create danger in front of the opposing goal. However, it is the Rémoises who smoke the ascendancy, concretized by the goals of Océane Deslandes from a corner (28and) and Vicky Becho, ideally served by Sonia Ouchene (45and).
Goals but also opportunities missed by Reims (34and and 35and), which refused Issy in the match with this difference of (only) two goals at the break. The players from the Ile-de-France region have fallen behind, first with an excellent free kick from Julie Rabanne from 25 meters, sent under the crossbar of Emily Alvarado (52and).
The Mexican goalkeeper then experienced a moment of solitude in the last quarter of an hour, when Batcheba Louis’ center shot managed to slip into the Reims goal, while Alvarado seemed to have blocked his angle at the near post (82and). The hardest part seems done for Issy, but the disappointment is even stronger when Tanya Romanenko restores the advantage to Reims in additional time from a corner (90+2).
Paris FC jostled by the Vertes
This 14and the day did not smile on the relegated teams. Like Issy, AS Saint-Étienne lost on the lawn of Paris FC (2-1), after opening the scoring by Kelly Gago (23and). Esther Okoronkwo even has a break point for the Vertes, but Chiamaka Nnadozie can then intervene on the strike of her Nigerian compatriot (38and).
Faced with adversity, Paris FC also managed to come back to the score, with the but against his side of Léonie Multari (41and) who was trying to intervene on a cross from Mathilde Bourdieu. We find the Parisian striker on the second goal of his team after returning from the locker room. Mathilde Bourdieu’s service is intended for Gaëtane Thiney, who scores in two stages against Maryne Gignoux (56and).
Sandrine Soubeyrand’s players have regained control, but it will also take a good exit from Chiamaka Nnadozie at the end of the match to deprive Cindy Caputo of the equalizer (81and). Paris FC thus preserves its third place, while ASSE (11and) remains designated in the red zone. A situation made a little more delicate by the victory of Soyaux in Dijon (0-1).
Soyaux puts pressure on relegated teams
The Charente players were only two points ahead of Saint-Étienne, a differential that increased during this 14and daytime. On the lawn of the DFCO, Soyaux took the advantage at the end of the first period, when the two teams had obtained the first favorable situations.
The Soyldician goal is then scored by Siga Tandia from a corner. The Soyldician captain is on the lookout in the six meters, while the cross of Anissa Lahmari had bounced off the frame (42and). In the second half, Dijon’s best opportunity also occurred from a corner, with the deflection of Jenna Dear’s header pushed back by the frame (71and).
Soyaux is therefore doing the right thing in the standings, against a Dijon team which has taken only one point at home (one draw and five defeats) since the start of the season. Soy (10and) is within two points of Dijon (8and) and a length behind Guingamp (9and), beaten this afternoon by PSG.
A victory and gaps to fill for PSG
On the lawn of En Avant Guingamp, Paris Saint-Germain offers a big victory (2-6). However, it is these two goals conceded that would have caught the attention of the Parisian staff, while only Olympique Lyonnais had managed to score against PSG since the start of the season.
The capital club had however done the essentials from the first act, already leading by four goals at the break. On a corner, it was Grace Geyoro who unblocked the counters, taking a header from Sara Däbritz’s cross, after being extended to the near post by Paulina Dudek (21and).
The Parisiennes then smoke the open sea, thanks to a double from Sara Däbritz (28and and 42and), while Marie-Antoinette Katoto scored the third Parisian goal, on a corner kicked by Sandy Baltimore (37and). Distanced at the break, Guingamp offers another face on the return from the locker room, more combative and enterprising, even if the opportunities are not immediately there.
Katoto number one in Paris
It is even the Parisiennes who widen the gap, with new goals signed Kadidiatou Diani (56and) and Marie-Antoinette Katoto, receiving a cross from Sara Däbritz (67and). Katoto thus consolidates her status as D1’s top scorer this season with 13 goals in total since the start of the season. The Parisian striker also becomes the best scorer in the history of PSG (132 goals), one unit more than Marie-Laure Delie, the previous record holder.
Paris on cloud nine, but then shaken by a team from Guingamp who had not given up. Entering the game, Sarah Cambot reduced the gap, well served by Nina Richard, and taking advantage of the hazardous exit of Barbora Votikova (75and). If Aminata Diallo and Jordyn Huitema hit the frame (78and), it is indeed Paris that cashes a new but, signed Louise Fleury for Guingamp (80and).
Paris Saint-Germain temporarily returns to the level of the Lyon leaders, who will evaluate tomorrow against Bordeaux at the conclusion of this 14and D1 day.
