Hungary hopes to strengthen cooperation with Bangladesh
Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Sizzardo expressed hope that he would further strengthen the country’s co-operation with Bangladesh in the coming years.
In a letter to Foreign Minister AK Abdul Mohd, he said: “I hope we can further strengthen our mutually beneficial cooperation in the coming years.
The Hungarian minister said that the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries was an important milestone.
“Despite the geographical distance between our countries, we can proudly show that strong friendships and mutual respect-based cooperation have developed between us in recent decades,” said Peter.

Recognizing the independent state of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh, they soon followed suit
On March 26, 1972, diplomatic relations were established at the diplomatic level, and the following year they opened their embassy in Dhaka.
“I am very pleased that we have recently re-established our diplomatic mission in Bangladesh,” he said.
Minister Peter made an official visit to Dhaka in September 2020 to improve their political, economic and cultural relations.
He thanked Moman for his message to Bangladesh and congratulated him on the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Hungary and the People’s Republic of Bangladesh.
He wished Minister Peter Moman good health and much more success in his duties.
