Beata Hlavenková christened the album “Žijutě” in Arša. Joyfully and surrounded by rare guests
He is baptized. Beata Hlavenková released the successful album “Žijutě” last autumn. The christening of the collection marking another significant step in the musical development of this non-genre musician was not until the second attempt. Due to anti-epidemic measures, the original date was postponed to the beginning of February, directly on the singer’s birthday.

The venue, the Archa Theater in Prague, remained the same, as did the number of guests. The baptism of “Žijutě”, a recording in which Beata Hlavenková moved to the preserve of clever, not original pop, was a unique opportunity to hear the work as it was filmed, to add a lot of musical colors to another dimension in the form of immense concert energy. And it is still rare, even though it may be shining for better times.

The accompanying group of the protagonist has been called the Band of Dreams for years, but it was not until Arša that this phrase got its fulfillment. Hlavenková, Patrick Karpentski, Miloš Klápště and Oskar Török joined the second bass player Tomáš Liška, a pair of vocalists, drummer Tomáš Neuwerth and especially Thom Artway, Vojta Nýdl. , and also Oto Klempíř. It was far from just the current record. Although it was the clear backbone of the two-hour set, part of the song was also made up of older ones, mostly from the previous one, songwriting studio “Snow”. Hlavenková’s music, flowing smoothly from pop through songwriting to hints of jazz, creates her own world with a specific atmosphere. And it works live even without external effects and concert tinsel. The performance, full of undisguised joy, was held in a calm spirit, focused. The magic of the moment was illustrated only by the modest light dramaturgy, the acoustically excellent space of the Archa Theater also played the hands of the musicians.

“Žijutě” did not make it to our list of the twenty best domestic albums of 2021 in vain. The whole very pleasant evening was clear that this is not a concert for the performer like any other. It was another milestone in her musical life that somehow closed the time spent working on the record. And Beata Hlavenková does not keep these moments to herself, but she sincerely shares them with her music colleagues and her audience. And she likes her. The mountain of flowers that piled up at the end of the concert in the clear and eventually under her feet, all with long-lasting applause, was quite proof.
