The biggest park development of the last half century starts in Budapest – Fresh pictures of the project
“To implement the biggest green development of the last 50 years in North Csepel, where we have planned three new parks in an area of 36 hectares in Városmajorny. Budapest can only be truly livable if it has high-quality, well-kept green parks.
The park will be characterized by three things:
- It will be a real place close to nature with innovative green solutions
- Family-friendly, multifunctional leisure park, where all ages will find the right pastime for them.
- Good public transport links, making the area within 10 minutes of the city center
“The area of Csepel Park is dilapidated and polluted today, with several industrial halls and ruined buildings in the northern tip. Our goal is to create a real green island on the site of the former industrial and agricultural areas. , to fill the area with a family-friendly holiday park. ” he added.
“It makes the Danube shore safe and we preserve its close-to-nature character! There are not many parks in Budapest, there is a direct connection to the Danube, at the Csepel Public Park mpreserve the lush, valuable and native gallery forest on the river bank. We are planning a boat house and a marina on the waterfront, which will further strengthen the right connection. We are planning a comfortable and 21st century, smart park: with a visitor center and a cozy community space. In the visitor center, we will create a cozy community space, where various classes and events will be possible. There is also a café / bistro and a washbasin with a changing table. There will be a Wi-Fi network in the entire area of the park, and a separate mobile application will help you find your way around, “said Balázs Fürjes.
“Park users will be able to try countless forms of movement: water sports and extreme sports. We will create a streetworkout course for the younger ones, we will put senior fitness equipment for the seniors. For the braver ones, we will also create a ski park, a climbing wall and an obstacle course. A 4.4 km long track will lead along the park. for dogs. “
“There will be two themed playgrounds for the little ones, but we are also thinking about the teenagers. One evokes the atmosphere of the Freeport of Csepel in its colors, games and use of materials. We put a line of trampolines, hammocks and a swing for the teenagers and a meeting place for the installations. “
“It will be accessible from almost every direction, by almost any means of transport: heat, tram, bus, car and bicycle. In South America, it will be easy to get here from Buddha and South Pest. “
“The area of the future park can already be easily reached by bike on the cycle path next to Weiss Manfréd út, but it will also be possible to cycle here. The work is in full swing, by 2025 we will create one of the best family-friendly green parks in Budapest it will be easily accessible not only to those living in the area, but to everyone in Budapest. ” said Balázs Fürjes.
