Cobasna ammunition and social protection of Moldovan citizens working in the Russian Federation – on the agenda of talks Maia Sandu-Oleg Vasnetov – Ziarul de Garda
The head of state, Maia Sandu, met today with the Ambassador of the Russian Federation in Chisinau, Oleg Vasnetsov, during which they exchanged views on the most important topics on the bilateral agenda between the two countries.
According to the Presidency, energy and economic issues have been addressed.
“The head of state appreciated the progress achieved in the negotiations on the agreement on social protection of Moldovan citizens living or working in the Russian Federation, mentioning the importance of signing this document as soon as possible. He also welcomed the willingness of the Russian parties to contribute to the reconstruction of two cultural institutions in our country, “the presidency said in a press release.
President Maia Sandu reiterated the interest of the Chisinau authorities to advance in the dialogue on the destruction of ammunition stored in the Cobasna depot on the left bank of the Dniester. And in terms of the regional context, she expressed hope that a peaceful solution would be identified and that the dialogue would lead to a de-escalation of the situation.
