“It’s not just a community hobby for a long time, but its size and fan base can be compared to big traditional sports,” he adds.

In addition to video game tournaments, the multifunctional center will have multiple uses. For visitors, there will be a restaurant with a bar, which will place a large LED screen for watching the most interesting sports competitions.
Leisure activities will also be given space. The arena will be equipped with sixty gaming computers, next-generation virtual consoles, state-of-the-art simulators, reality and the world’s flagship mobile phones.
The entrance to the building will be directly from the street, so the organizers expect that the Vodafone PLAYzone Arena will also become a meeting place for various groups of people. That’s why a special party and bootcamp room was created.
It should also serve companies. Offers marketing and event options for the presentation of services, projects or products. There will be spaces in the arena for workshops, lectures and other presentations.
“When we started cooperating with PLAYzone more than six years ago, we became titular partners of the Czech Republic Championship in mobile and subsequently in computer games. We already knew then that there was huge potential in this sector. The new sports center is proof of this, “says Barbora Kožíšková, head of Vodafone’s press office.
Revolution in Czech progaming
The new emerging sports center will mainly offer facilities for home tournaments in computer and mobile games. For this purpose, it will also offer a professional broadcasting studio, which broadcasts live broadcasts from games.
