At present, the rescue helicopters, assisted by the city police, are flying in Ztkovy sady near Palacký Street, which is not practical for a long time. There are other events like you markets, and the area is cleared for safe use.
That is why there has long been talk of building a temporary heliport on the Vltava. The councilors now discussed the construction plan, which should be feasible by the end of this year. The city company Trade center Praha (TCP) will take care of it.
The heliport on the pontoon has been on the river for several years, and it is not possible to build a new shooting area on the still non-existent buildings at the General University Hospital (VFN) at Charles University.
It would be mainly a quick help to children’s patients who need to be placed either in the care of mother and child in Podol, or in the General University Hospital in Charles University, Jan Chabr, a councilor at the heliport, first explained in the press.
