New information service in Zurich-Altstetten and Grünau
The “Turntable Support Association” has been awarded the contract for the pilot operation of a “turntable” in Zurich-Altstetten and Grünau.
Last autumn, a private sponsorship for the pilot operation of a “turntable” in Zurich-Altstetten and Grünau was sought via a public tender. The “Trägerverein Drehscheibe” has now been awarded the contract.
The new association is currently being founded and will include other members of the neighborhood associations Grünau, Altstetten, Albisrieden, the Zurich community centers, the Bildungsmotor association, the ELCH association, the OJA Offene Jugendarbeit Zürich association, the K9 neighborhood help and the Zurich Senior Citizens Council. The new sponsoring association is already firmly anchored in the district and well networked.
The pilot project is intended to be a local contact point in the district
With this pilot project, which in addition to the offer in Altstetten, Grünau, also includes a hub in Zurich North operated by the social services, the city of Zurich will develop a model for advice, networking and information centers in the districts from mid-2022 to the end of 2025 and test.
This was in order to meet the desire for decentralized contact points in the district, which various stakeholders from the districts and representatives of the population had expressed as part of the review of the city-district interface and the aging strategy.
The pilot hubs are intended to inform the residents about the neighborhood offers
The two pilot hubs have the task of informing the residents of the district about the offers available in their district. In particular, older people, foreign speakers and parents with small children should be addressed with the new offer.
They should be able to use certain services from the city and private organizations directly on site and be supported in accessing digital platforms. Personnel will be regularly present at the pilot hubs for information and support.
