the Secretariat of State for the Territory announces a control intervention for Saturday 29 January, in the Montecerreto area
After numerous reports from critics regarding the persistence of criticisms regarding the number of supernumerary citizens of wild boars and the spread of African swine fever, the Secretariat of State for the Territories and the European Union and the Emilia-Romagna Region ‘Ambiente, in collaboration with the San Marino Hunting Federation and the Environmental and Agricultural Resources Management Office, announces an intervention to check the wild boar which will be carried out tomorrow, Saturday 29 January, from 7.30 to 15.00. This estimate is authorized pursuant to the provisions of art. 18 of the Delegated Decree n ° 179 of 18 October 2021. It is specified in this sense that the hunting activity must be carried out exclusively in the areas where hunting is normal and authorizes that the intervention within the Montecerreto park area it will limit itself to directing the animals to the “Gessi di Acquaviva” locality. Therefore, only the action of dogs and their handlers will be allowed inside the park, who will carry out their activity without any type of weapon. The park will therefore remain accessible to users. To ensure the greatest possible safety, some of the San Marino Hunting Federation will be placed to guard the Moricce, Genghe di Atto and Costa del Santo roads, in order to avoid any interference with the road system. The Ecological Surveillance Service will install some information signs along the Montecerreto paths, in such a way as to alert those who recreate themselves as an object in the active area. Finally, it is specified that the Republic of San Marino is located outside the surveillance area sanctioned by the Italian health authorities related to African swine fever, but as sanctioned by protocol 367 of the Prevention Department of the Social Security Institute, it has already been recommended for some weeks. the increase of the surveillance activity in the farms and above all it is strongly recommended every to trace and test the carcasses of wild boars, as required by the national surveillance plan.
