Little used by AC Milan where he has been ready since this summer, the Monegasque striker Pietro Pellegri leaves the Rossoneri. He commits to Torino, for a new loan of six months.
Italian striker from Monaco, Pietro Pellegri, 20, cut short his loan to AC Milan to be, in the process, again loaned to Italy, to Torino, current tenth in Serie A, announced Thursday the club of the Principality.
Bought by Monaco for more than 20 million euros in Genoa in January 2018, Pellegri, who did not win in the Principality, had only played six games since the start of the season with AC Milan, where his loan paying was accompanied by a purchase option of 6 million euros.
Monaco and Milan having been unable to agree on the financial conditions of a possible transfer, the contract in Lombardy of the young Italian international striker has been terminated. He was then loaned to Torino.
He is the youngest player to have started in Ligue 1 with AS Monaco, at 16 years, 10 months and 30 days, ahead of Kylian Mbappé (16 years, 11 months and 12 days).
If his loan to Torino also comes with an option to buy, Pellegri is under contract until June 30, 2023 with Monaco, where he played 23 matches and scored two goals in three and a half seasons.
