Investigators from the Toulouse police station arrested a young man born in 1997 suspected of being the author of around twenty attacks in the pink city carried out between November 2021 and January 2022.
He broke into people’s homes between midnight and 4am. Sometimes pizza delivery, sometimes beggar or rescuer of an injured animal, he often managed to get into people’s homes. Sometimes he threatened with concealed bladed weapons to get cash, a bank card or valuables. Obviously, he was fond of electronic devices (consoles, tablets…) that he could resell easily.
He also threatened people on the public highway in front of ATMs to steal money from them.
This person in question has been known to the police since 2012 (he was then 15 years old) and has already been convicted of similar acts: theft, extortion of property, use and narcotics.
The meticulous investigation and recovery work of the property damage unit of the Toulouse police officers enabled this rapid arrest.
He will be brought before the prosecution this Thursday, January 27 at 3 p.m. to appear before the judge of freedoms and. A request for pre-trial detention was made before his comparison before the Toulouse Criminal Court on Saturday, January 29 in the afternoon.
