A comic strip dedicated to Devote Holy Virgin and martyr, patroness of Monaco, the princely family and Corsica
In Corsica as in the Principality of Monaco, it is a tradition at this time of year to celebrate Saint Devote martyr, patroness of Monaco, of the princely family and of Corsica.
This year, within the framework of the demonstrations organized in his honor, fervent defender of the image of his country, Roger Rossi wished to join forces with Guy Boscagli in order to finance a comic strip named Devota, the aptly named. All the profits from this historic comic book told by a grandfather will be donated to charities in the Principality of Monaco.
The launch of this comic book by Yvon Bertorello traces the itinerary of a martyr from Corsica to Monaco.
In 2007, Roger Rossi was at the origin, with Stéphan Maggi, of the first documentary film on Sainte Dévote, in the form of DVD. This non-profit project (more than 50,000 copies offered worldwide) is also accompanied by a website in five languages.
The launch party took place as a preview on Sunday at the Café de Paris in Monaco. In a speech full of emotion, Roger Rossi did not fail to express to the Sovereign Prince his deep gratitude for the interest he was kind enough to show for this project. He also wanted to warmly thank Bishop Dominique-Marie David for his constant support.
“Very happy and proud to see this project completed, around a team that has put all its talent and all its passion”.
