The German ambassador welcomes Kosovo’s progress in the IT Corruption Perception Index
The German ambassador in Pristina, Jorn Rohde, called Kosovo’s progress in Transparency International’s Corruption Perceptions Index good news for this year, as the country ranked 87 out of 189 countries surveyed, marking a jump of 17 places, reports Gazeta Express.
Ambassador Rohde said that it is encouraging to see that Kosovo has finally started to fight corruption. “Really good news! Kosovo makes significant progress in the fight against corruption! In the IT Anti-Corruption Index, Kosovo has improved 17 places, now ranks 87th. Encouragingly, Kosovo is finally starting to ‘walk’ in the serious fight against corruption. Keep it up! Kosovo has the full support of Germany,” wrote Rohde on Twitter.
Transparency International in its annual Corruption Perceptions Index (CPI) report published on Tuesday ranks Kosovo in 87th place out of 180 countries investigated. Kosovo received 39 points, a jump of three points compared to the 2020 report. /GazetaExpress/
