Judit Varga: In the interests of migration, solidarity means, among other things, the protection of external borders
For Hungary, solidarity means protecting the external borders, among other things, including the construction of the border fence, for which Hungary still needs the necessary funding, said the meeting of the new member states’ ministers for general affairs in Brussels.
Speaking to Hungarian journalists, Judit Varga said that the priorities of the French presidency of the Council of the European Union include migration, the external dimension, border protection and the preliminary screening of refugees outside the EU.
He emphasized that Hungary would like countries outside the European Union to be part of the thinking on migration, as the return of those who are not allowed to remain permanently or secondary migration is a problem to be solved.

Highlights of the conference on the future of Europe: Hungary considers it important that the summary of the forthcoming series of events truly reflects the views of citizens. Hungary will be accompanied by a conference to ensure that its outcome does not lead to a “stealthy treaty change”, as well as to be based on facts.
Thanks to Hungarian activity, raising awareness of the dangers of migration has been included in the latest interim report, he said.
Judit Varga also said that the most active participant in the conference series was Hungary, with at least 455 of the approximately 4,500 events organized so far being organized by Hungary. This means that Hungary, even ahead of Germany, is in the first place, he said.

Nuclear energy from the lobbying activities of the Visegrad countries – Hungary, Poland, Slovakia and Slovakia – has also been included in the draft EU taxonomy regulation.
“Although the draft will be reinforced by many more attacks, most are in favor, as it is already clear that without nuclear energy, Europe will not achieve its climate goals.”He said.
In response to a question, he said that the French presidency had made it clear that the Article 7 procedure, which could be launched in the event of an understanding of the new core values, would be on the agenda for Hungary in May. In March, the new Council will hold a debate on the 2021 General Rule of Law Report.
Regarding the coronavirus recovery package, he stated:
the fact that the negotiations on new sources also raise a legal and political issue that can fall victim to a topical political issue.
The European Commission’s procedure also has economic consequences and, inter alia, infringes that competition. “It seems that Brussels is trying to help the domestic opposition by creating a blackmail situation”Settings off.
For Hungary, it is primarily a matter of waiting for the April referendum, because for the government the will of the Hungarian people and the Hungarian electorate is decisive, Judit Varga added.
