Lena Borislavova: Bulgaria is a sovereign state and has the right to determine which troops will pass through its territory
Bulgaria is adamant in its position that it is a sovereign state and has the right to determine which troops and under what conditions to pass through its territory. This is a comment in “Panorama” on BNT the head of the political cabinet of Prime Minister Kiril Petkov Lena Borislavova. At the moment, it has not been decided by the government to request forces from NATO, she added.
Borislavova’s main success since Prime Minister Kiril Petkov’s visit to the Republic of Northern Macedonia is the upgrading of the dialogue, which she said is “frozen”. The dialogue must be in the direction of focusing on commonalities while solving all our additional problems.
What this government and this visit have achieved is that the PCM has confirmed that it has no territorial claims in terms of short use and long geographical name. This is one of the conditions set by our PCM and here that on the eve of our visit, we have a fulfillment like this first condition, approved by Borislavova.
According to her, a new page is currently opening, at the beginning of which the discussion with the PCM will take place, without deviating from the national interest.
I can confirm that the work is dynamic, friendly and friendly. But the fact that someone is behaving in good faith does not mean that we will back down from our position, Borislavova stressed.
I would not like to go into the allegations of mistakes of the previous government, the fact is that we already have two dialogues and that the Macedonian government is ready to come to us and talk openly, she added.
Rumen Radev, in his capacity as president, can be both a partner of the government and its corrective. Criticism is not a bad thing when it is deserved, Borislavova commented.
On the subject of division, it is in line with the requirements and certificates and the readiness to regulate the permanent dialogue, she answers: We cannot ignore one or another part of society, because we believe that we make better decisions.
It is no secret that Bulgarian society is internally opposed to itself on the topic of the covid crisis, as in Austria, for example, Borislavova.
Regarding the external measures presented by Prime Minister Kiril Petkov, she replied that every Bulgarian citizen and institution will have the opportunity in at least 5 days to predict how to move the management of this crisis to know what awaits the next day .
Again on the topic of PCM, Borislavova said – we will be guided by the results: if the working groups succeed in progress, then I think we can talk about an optimistic ending, but not before we have results. I would not rush to conclusions, but I remain optimistic, Borislavova said.
