One of AS Monaco’s greatest hopes will definitely go to AC Milan
On loan from AS Monaco to AC Milan, Pietro Pellegri is struggling to establish himself in a formation fighting for the title in Serie A. A loan which should be final this winter. The Lombard club is preparing to buy him and then lend him in stride to Torino.
Recruited for more than 20 million euros in January 2018 from Genoa, Pietro Pellegri arrived in the Principality with the status of the future great football star. A reputation far from proven as long as the Italian disappointed. The striker played only 22 Ligue 1 games under the colors of AS Monaco for 2 goals scored. A balance sheet far too meager for such hope. Symbol of this failure, the young 20-year-old striker returned to Italy this summer in the form of a loan to AC Milan. If he only contested 6 meetings under the orders of Stefano Pioli, he seems to have convinced the Milanese leaders to bet on him.
According to information from the Gazzetta dello Sport, AC Milan is about to complete the final transfer of Pietro Pellegri. AS Monaco should sell their striker for 3.5 million euros. The Lombard club then intends to loan the Italian to Torino for the next 18 months. A long-term loan which should allow the former Italian nugget to finally develop in a stable environment.
