Emirates News Agency – Dubai Police discusses cooperation with Sweden’s Ministry of Infrastructure

DUBAI, January 20, 2022 (WAM) – Tomas Eneroth, Sweden’s Minister of Infrastructure, and Lieutenant General Abdullah Khalifa Al Marri, Commander-in-Chief of the Dubai Police, have discussed several topics of common interest, particularly in road safety and ways to improve bilateral security cooperation.
The meeting, which took place in the Swedish pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai, discussed the latest technology for securing roads and reducing traffic-related deaths and ways to develop smart solutions that help reduce traffic accidents and injuries.
Lieutenant General Al Marri said that the Dubai Police General Command is committed to maintaining strong communication and cooperation channels with Sweden and to activating strategic partnerships in various sectors, including road safety, green mobility and innovation.
Following the meeting, Lieutenant General Al Marri escorted Eneroth and the accompanying delegation to the Smart Police Station (SPS) at Expo 2020 Dubai, which provides police services in seven languages to visitors to the global event around the clock and without human intervention.
Towards the end of the visit, Eneroth praised the Dubai Police’s achievements and the development it has achieved in various traffic and criminal areas. He also praised the power to adapt and utilize the latest technology to ensure road safety and protect society.
